When it comes to filters my luxury sedan, there is one name and one name only that i trust and that is Wix filters. I had to pull glovebox for some other maintenance in my 07 luxury Acura TL, and in doing so looked at my cabin filter. Wasnt too dirty but theres nothing like the euphoric feeling if installing a new clean fresh quality built cabin filter into the cars hvac system. Made in Poland. The quality is impeccable. Pulling it from its box i admired the craftsmanship. The straight lines of the material. That new filter smell that is intoxicating. Buy one and feel the difference for yourself

This item works perfectly in form, fit, and function for the OEM cabin ventilation filter in your vehicle. It is also quite a bit less expensive that purchasing retail from your local auto supply store, although it still seems *way* overpriced compared to its manufacturing cost. I almost dropped a star because of the high cost for a simple pleated filter, but it is cheaper than any other alternative that I could find. And the joy of clean air that does not smell funny or cause you to sneeze is worth it.
I have replaced cabin air filters on several different vehicles – cars and trucks. It is usually pretty simple. You typically start by emptying the glove box. Then you have to figure out how to release the glove box from its hinge linkage so that it can flop way down, out of your way. Next, you will find a couple of screws or levers that hold the filter tray in place. Pull the tray out, replace the filter, and reverse the process. It should only take about ten minutes or so for most vehicles. I have no doubt that it is far more difficult on some vehicles than others. Check online for the process for your vehicle, first. You don’t want to break any plastic parts by trying to pry apart the wrong linkage (experience talking).
You will not believe how dirty this filter can get – leaves, bugs, mold, and mildew. I suspect that it gets dirty more quickly in the south because you tend to run your A/C 95% of the year and the air is generally quite humid. Change your filter on a regular basis and stop breathing the air flowing through a dirty filter, which is probably worse than having no filter at all.

I’m embarrassed to say that I did not even know my Honda Civic had an air filter for the cabin. My BMW and Audi in the past had them, but I just assumed that the inexpensive Honda did not have anything. When I went to buy an engine air filter on Amazon, I thought it was a joke that they were pairing the item with a cabin air filter. Well, no joke, the Honda Civic has a cabin filter and it’s hidden away in a little drawer tucked behind the glove box. It was very easy to replace, once I knew that it was in there. You just open your glove box, push in the sides a little bit so the stoppers will let it swing all the way down, and then you will see the black face of the drawer for the filter behind. It just slides right out, swap out the new filter for the dirty one, and slide it back in. The only thing to watch for is to make sure the arrows showing the flow of air are lined up together. The drawer in the Honda had the arrow for airflow pointing downward, so I made sure the arrow on the side of the air filter was also pointing downward when I installed it.
That’s it. Ten minute job at most, even if you take time to explore around behind your glovebox.

If you own a Honda, this is the best cabin filter you can buy. The built quality is top notch, on par with OEM, with the addition of micro-bacterial coating. It fits perfectly into filter box, unlike some other competing brands. If you catch it on sale, you can buy more at a time and replace them more often.
If you are trying to decide between different brands, here is what I found buying filters over 10 years of owning my Accord. All filters work. If you want good air quality inside your car, it’s very important to change them regularly, like you do with furnace filters at home, every 6-12 months. I have have bought OEM, Bosch, Purolator, Wix, Fram regular, and Fram Fresh Breeze, depending on what was on sale at a time. In my opinion, here is how they stack up: OEM is good, but overpriced; Bosch, Purolator, and Fram regular – all about the same, choose on price; Fram Fresh Breeze – not worth the money, I did not notice any better air quality, one can still smell road odors and gases (think construction zones); and finally Wix – the best value for the money at regular price, and a steal if you catch it on sale.

When I hear “Wix”, I think of… …That’s right! Quality Air and Oil Filters for my car. (I don’t need no stinkin’ website builder service, just quality automotive products!) So when I found this Wix 24815 cabin air filter on Amazon for a great price (under $15), I couldn’t pass it up. No more seasonal outdoor funk and pollen leaving that odorous calamity up my vehicle’s HVAC system (’16 Honda Odyssey). Nice tight fit in the air filter cartridge space behind the glove box. Sycamore seeds (helicopters/whirlygigs) stay out, and fresh air comes in. Highly recommend this product!
