I really like the overall functionality of this BOXGVO CarPlay screen. The 9-inch display is clear and responsive, wireless CarPlay connects smoothly, and the included 4K dash cam and backup camera are great additions at this price point.
However, the built-in microphone is a letdown. During phone calls, people on the other end say there’s a lot of background noise and it’s hard to hear me clearly. There’s no option for an external mic, which limits ways to fix this. It’s a shame because everything else works really well.
If you don’t take a lot of calls or can live with subpar mic quality, it’s a solid buy. But for those who need frequent hands-free calling, consider a unit with external mic

I’m really impressed with this CarPlay screen! Setting it up was super easy and didn’t take much time at all. The interface is simple and user-friendly, making it easy to navigate while driving. I didn’t have to spend a lot of time figuring out how it works, which made the whole experience very smooth. It’s a great addition to my car setup and works exactly as advertised.
One of the best features is the camera quality, which is much better than I expected. It provides a clear view, making reversing or parking much easier and safer. Excellent option for vehicles without factory CarPlay. The connection with the iPhone is fast and stable, and the screen offers good visibility and tactile response. Allows you to use navigation, music and messages safely with Siri. Practical, modern and very functional to improve the driving experience.

First I want to be clear that the technology aspect of this product worked perfectly fine. My iPhone synced up to the CarPlay via Bluetooth with no issues, displayed the maps and tracked my driving with GPS just fine. The camera didn’t feel like 4K but was clear and functioned as expected. My rating has to do with the functionality of the accessories. I have an older model SUV with a curved – and sharp angled windshield. Neither one of the two mounting options would work. The fixed mount was too high and bulky to sit straight on the curved dash and the telescoping arm mount With the ball socket would not hold the display firmly in place. The ball socket was very smooth, and the display would slowly sag forward like a wilting flower. With the telescoping mount, either connecting to the dash or connecting up to the windshield completely blocked the camera fully negating that function of the unit. I even went out and bought a extra magnetic mount accessory, but the back of the unit would not allow the sticky magnet accessory any firm purchase, and again the unit kept sliding and drifting off the mount. My SUV is older so the only radio connectivity I could use was the FM sync feature but no matter what open radio station I chose, the connection was static and skipped at best. Plus since it’s an open FM channel if you’re driving any distance at all, you have to keep cycling to find another FM channel if you get out of range of the previous one. Overall, the unit was much more hassle than convenience unfortunately. As I stated, I really did want it to work, but for me it just did not.

Really happy with this screen. The picture looks sharp, it’s a good size without being bulky, and wireless CarPlay connects fast every time. I’ve been using it daily and everything works smoothly. The front camera records in really good quality, and the backup cam makes parking way easier. What I liked most is that I didn’t need to mess with any wiring,just set it up and it was ready to go. Definitely a solid upgrade if you want something modern without spending a fortune.

I normally hate reviews where the person who bought it has only had it for a day. However, this time it’s me writing a day-old review and I have to say, I am impressed by this item even after a day! I was able to transform my 2011 truck radio into a wireless Apple car-play radio within a minute or two with ease. I know I cannot say much about the durability of this item just yet since I haven’t really taken it on a test drive, but the mount (window in my case) seems very sturdy and has a wide range of flexibility as far as mounting goes, which allows you to position the screen most like to exactly how you want it.
I fully expect it to fall off the window at some point because we all know these suction cup sticky window mounts just do that. It has nothing to do with quality, it’s just a fact of life. Along with that fact and the fact that it is a fairly large obstacle in your window, I decided to mount this in such a way that the screen touches the dash for a little extra support. I think that will help keep the suction cup mounting adhered to the window longer and if it does happen to come loose, it won’t have far to drop thus saving the screen from damage.
One thing to keep in mind is that this screen is rather large and if you want to really take advantage of the front facing camera then it needs to sit up in your window considerably so it may block part of your view. You can say the same thing about just a dash cam, but most dash cams are not 9″ so they take up less space.
All in all the ease of setup and installation was impressive and it appears to offer all the functionality and connectivity that a normal Car Play radio head does. I can’t really speak for sound quality as the sound comes from my truck’s radio just as it did before and it appears that there’s no noticeable lag in the sound. When I was searching for car play options, a new radio unit was high on my list, but most of them that offered wireless car play that fit my truck with all the adapters etc. were nearing $700. I am so glad I took a chance on this.
