I have only had this installed for a few weeks and my car is not a daily driver. Pump is smaller and produces less noise than the Bosch 044 it replaced. It is able to supply the required ~58 PSI of fuel pressure my car needs. The electrical connections screw/bolts are smaller diameter so I had to use some washers to sandwich my cars existing electrical connectors under the nuts on the pump. I bought some AN fittings for my fuel lines to adapted to the pump inlet and outlet. Outside of this the kit comes with everything I needed.

The shipper screwed up the first order and sent me front hubs to a Toyota.I missed two car shows for that imbecile move. The pump itself is the identical one that is in my car I imagine the old pump was not at full pressure because the car feels amazingly more responsive like 50 hp more responsive.Nice except for the shipper who probably had to be stoned sending the wrong order.

I have a 1940 Ford 2 Door coupe with a Holley projection 4di throttle body fuel injection. It has the old school 900 CFM throttle body. I believe it has been upgraded to the 950 CFM. The old Holley pump was noisy and wasn’t putting out good pressure. This pump is cheaper than it’s Holley counterpart and has comparable specs. The part arrived quickly was easy to install and runs great. It’s much quieter than it’s Holley counterpart and does the job well. The pump supplies gas to a 460 cubic inch Big Block Ford bored .030 over with a 280H comp cam and roller rockers. The heads are ported and polished D0VE-C. C6 Automatic shift kit and narrowed 9 inch rear end with 456 gears. Just so you know it’s not powering a 4 cyl rice burner.

Was a direct replacement. Works flawlessly.

I bought this pump to replace a very noisy one on a Holley Sniper EFI conversion. It is so quiet you can barely hear it run when it primes the system and not at all after the car starts up. Very happy with this purchase!

I took this external fuel pump, and used rubber fuel line rated for fuel injected systems, and connected it to a marine gas tank that I purchased from Amazon (Attwood Corporation ASM Gauge 6-Gallon Gas Tank). I saw where someone had done this with an engine stand made for running an engine before you put it back in a car. Only I think they used and in-tank type fuel pump. I have a ’94 LT1 engine that I have been thinking about doing this with, but I was trying to start a ’99 Ford Taurus with the 24 valve Duratec engine in it that had not been started for several years. So I took out all the spark plugs and put a few pumps of automatic transmission fluid in each cylinder, and then cranked the engine over with no plugs, to make sure all the cylinders were free and now lubricated. AT that point is when I found the fuel pump was not working, because I had disconnect the lines at the engine and put a hose to a gas can to try and pump the old gasoline out of the cars tank, but no gas came out. So I bought the pieces and put together this pump with the marine tank. Put some (new) gasoline in the marine gas tank, and using a Ford fuel connector I hooked up this fuel pump to the engine. I also hooked up a return line that I put back in the marine gas tank (simply by removing the fill cap and putting the return hose into it. I had also hooked up wires to the terminals on this fuel pump to some battery camps like you find on most battery chargers for cars. I check the return line and I was soon getting a large flow of gasoline from return hose, like you should since these fuel pumps for fuel injected engine put out many times the gasoline that they need to take, and all of it this point since I had not started the engine yet. I turn the key and the car started right up. It started smoking, but it was oil and other things that had collected on the motor while it had been setting. (Oh, I had change the engine oil before I did any of this.) It worked great and it solved two problems in this case. I got motor running and tested without removing the fuel tank and replacing the fuel tank, and I got to use fresh gasoline. I am still thinking about setting it up for running an engine on an engine cradle, but in my case I need to order about a $400 wiring harness to connect up the engine to its ECM (or computer).

Arrived soaked in the lubricant that’s supposed to be inside the pump, not the outside. Even the silica packet was wet. I installed it anyway. It worked well for the first few minutes. Pressure on the gauge under my hood was strong and steady. Engine pulled strongly at first. Everything changed 10 minutes later. Pump began emitting a high-pitched whine. Engine died on highway. I was able to limp home, with a few more unplanned stops. When running, pressure gauge was bouncing wildly, reading low on average. The pump was hot to the touch. I’m returning to seller PartsUSA and (triumph of hope over experience!) ordering another one. One of the electric-connection studs broken on removal. Hopefully they won’t ding me for that.

This item is the pump plus installation kit. Not all pictures in the listing show the complete kit. It’s nice to have the barb fittings included and all of the other parts. Annoyingly, the pump is narrower than the defacto 60mm Bosch standard, even with the included neoprene sleeve, for those of use using a standard mounting bracket. Likewise, it would be nice if the electrical posts were the same as Bosch. I.e., thicker and stronger. But, it was nice to have threaded posts and nuts and washers in the kit. Like I said, one snapped off during removal.

I’ll update when I get the replacement pump.

  8. Amazon Customer

Much quieter & easy to change

  9. Randy E.

Well made pump, works great, quiet and well worth the money. This was a replacement for a none name brand pump I purchased that didn’t last more than a few trips.

  10. Christopher Hampton

Pump flows quite well on my 1984 Toyota Cressida with a 2JZGE+T engine swap. I would HIGHLY recommend upgrading your fuel pump wiring if your using this pump; it draws a bit of power. Also this pump HAS to be mounted at or below the level of the bottom of the tank. If you don’t it will cavitate and make all kind of noise and not pump fuel properly. Ask me how I know. Once it’s mounted properly it’s very quiet with only a little whirr. If you has a bad fuel line it will also let you know immediately by blowing it apart and spraying fuel everywhere; again, ask me how I know.
