This switch looked identical to the original part but would not fit. I even tried to modify it to fit and only succeeded in damaging the switch. My old one is back in my vehicle with no difficulty in fitment.
I would not purchase again or recommend it.

Received this product, looked good, first thing I noticed was it uses LED backlight instead of incandescent, I thought that was good. Went to go put it in, it would not fit in the hole. Had to modify the switch and hole. Then once I got it to slide in, it would not seat all the way to connect to the prongs in the back. Had to modify again and got it to fit. It sits nice and flush now. Turned on the key and the LED to indicate that the AC on or off is on all the time. It is either bright or dim not on or off like it should be. Now that it is in, I cant get it out without damaging it for return. The switch will function to turn on and off the AC but the LED wont function as intended.

I had to work a little to get it to fit in my 1999 4Runner but it was not to much work. We can now turn the AC off and on. Good value for the money over a Toyota OEM part.

The switch works great but it was a very tight fit. I had to force it into the stock dash panel trim and it doesn’t sit flush like the stock switch does. Overall, this is just a minor inconvenience for the cost. A new AC switch at a parts house was over $60 and even other aftermarket switches were spendy. For $10 dollars you can’t go wrong.

I found that a dental pick was the perfect tool to pull out the old switch. After confirming the plugin configuration was the same we pressed the new switch into place. The switch seated completely without any modification. We are cool again!

I bought this switch because the A/C button on the front of my switch starting falling out of my 1998 Toyota Tacoma. This switch is very easy to install and the button seems fairly sturdy. However, the switch DOES NOT FIT A 1998 TOYOTA TACOMA. It appears to be the same size as the existing switch, however the electrical prongs on the inside are longer, preventing the switch from being plugged in all the way. I’m giving three stars for the ease of installation, and the sturdy feel of the switch, but deducting two stars since it was advertised to fit my truck and does not.
