wish pigtale was on it. can work, just difficult to connect and dissconnect with male recepticle on motor. you loose the manipulative ability.

We went through the arduous task of replacing this motor only to have it vibrate and not stay locked in when rotated! It was not worth the effort to buy a piece of junk that does not come balanced or designed properly! Immediately after install it vibrated and then quit 2 weeks later. BUYER BEWARE!

I bought this to replace a bad one in my 2013 Ford Escape with electronic dual climate control. By design the motor has to be rotated out and in by a few degrees to get the built-in tab to click into place. The motor itself is on the driver’s side and so the blower wheel is on the passenger’s side. The entire blower assembly comes out of the pass side (two person job). To take the old one out you actually insert a few fingers in through the blower wheel to grab the motor to rotate it CW. To put the new one in you’re suppose to the same thing CCW. However, the blower wheel design of this TYC does not have any vents or such to allow you to get your fingers in there – it is a solid molded plastic disc. This forced me to remove the blower wheel before installation – a little bit of a deal if you don’t want to damage the bearings. I did that and then it was easy to grab the motor to rotate until the tab clicked into place. But, then I had to reach in and reinstall the wheel and its clamp. Just letting you know what you’re in for.
After all of that the blower has a slight vibration on the top two speeds, but it’s not bad enough for me to go through all of this so soon. Winter is now here and if it gets worse then I may tough it out until warmer weather. Because of those two things I am only giving it three stars. Reliability will take years to assess.
UPDATE:
Well, it seems that reliability only took seven months to assess. We are in the heat of summer now and I got into the car two days ago and the blower would not work at all. The control panel showed the A/C on and the blower set for full-blast, but the blower was dead. Removed the glove box today so that I could see the blower wheel. Reached in with a long screwdriver to see if I could turn the fan. As soon as I moved the fan it started working. I don’t know what it’s problem was and I don’t care. On a job that is so difficult, the first impression matters. I have ordered a Motorcraft unit to replace this and will not use TYC ever again.
All of this takes it down to a one-star rating.

So the part absolutely fits and works as it should. However please note that when installing the fan you will have to remove the blades to get the motor into place. This is one heck of a job but will save you hundreds if you do it yourself.

Got one from partsource and it fit but the clip was on the wrong side which would have left the wiring connector on top so it wouldn’t have worked.
This one came fast was cheaper and works well.
The 3 T15s that hold the actuator/ door for the fresh air thing don’t even bother trying to put the lower one in. Works fine without it.
