It’s my favorite. Packing is a tiny bit different from the original but it seems to be the same great product. I use on all things leather from couch to wallet to my favorite old leather bags. Put it on with two fingers, let sit for a few minutes, wipe down with a microfiber cloth. Buy it.

I have been using Tanners Preserve for my leather since the 90s. Was very disappointed they left the store shelves. Best leather conditioner on the market. Smells like brand new leather. I have learn that best way to treat leather is to use a soap and water mix to gently scrub with a soft boars hair brush. Wipe dry and apply the conditioner. Many people of over think leather. It’s almost like skin, you want to give it a nice clean. Using the typical cleaner often is not wet enough to lubricate the clean up. You end up wearing through the top layer of the leather with friction. Using a soap water mix allows for a wetter application for a better clean.

I have leather furniture, leather upholstery in my car and a leather jacket and this is the best conditioner I’ve used so far and I’ve tried quite a few. It is the perfect combination of creaminess, consistency, and scent without the sticky residue or off odor. If you’ve tried Leather CPR you know it smells like sour milk. Some other leather conditioners have a perfume-like smell, but this stuff actually has a good solid leather scent. I’ve also used Obenauf’s which does a good job, but remains a sticky mess and never seems to completely soak in. Lexol is another choice that I regularly use, but it doesn’t seem to be quite thick enough. Tanner’s is the perfect balance. I used it in my car today and the leather is soft and well-conditioned, no sticky mess, and my car smells brand new again! I will be buying more of this!
Edit: They have changed the formula. The last case of six that I bought years ago finally ran out so I got replacements and the scent is not what it used to be. It’s a much lighter leather scent now. It generally seems the same otherwise (color, consistency) , but I miss the strong leather scent which always made my car and furniture smell new.

This may be a great preservative for leather but it is extremely hazardous/toxic. Had I known this I would not have ordered it. Contains Formaldehyde and other toxic chemicals. The warning on the bottle states that this substance will cause chemical burns if it comes in contact with unprotected skin, fumes are extremely dangerous, etc….. The directions explicitly state not to use on steering wheel leather. So toxic I can’t use it on my steering wheel. WTH…. I’m not going to polish the leather in my car with rubber gloves and a respirator. Bottom line I don’t feel safe using this in the car or on my couches. The kids climb all over the couches and then put their fingers in their mouth. Lawsuit waiting to happen. Do what I did and buy a naturally derived product. Now using Zymol leather conditioner. Cost more but it is non-toxic.

For over 10 years I looked for a leather conditioner that would not only keep the leather on my car looking new, but it would also have a great smell. This product is phenomenal. My car smells like it came from the dealer with that original leather smell. Two thumbs up.

This is some great leather conditioner that I Highly recommend. I used it on my dried out leather work shoes and it softened the material to give the shoes a more presentable appearance. I truly believe that my shoes will last a lot longer when using this product on an as needed basis. Great stuff at a Great price.
