I needed something to hold my TPSM monitor while driving my motorhome. I tried lots of different options, and this one works the best! Nice and sturdy!

Many years ago, I had a similar phone holder. Once it broke (stopped allowing me to charge) I looked for another one but couldn’t find it. This was pre-covid. I was getting frustrated with not having a place to put my phone in my car. I decided to look again and found this one. So far, I love it. It is much more solid than the first one I had and it’s very flexible to put in the right spot.

This would have gotten 5 stars if it had some sort of power management like IQ. As it is just labeled “high power” which is just 1A, double the 500mA USB standard.
Has problems staying in some Toyota 12V ports due to their short barrels.

Update April 2022: One star. Held phone great again, but my replacement also started leaking glue, getting on my fingers and phone. I used it less than 30 times total, 1 hour duration per session, since September 2021. I put it away after every use and kept it in the shade. I wanted to avoid the glue leaking again. In April 2022, I noticed that the glue had started leaking on the replacement. I contacted the company regarding this; they would not issue refund. (Pictures of leaking glue in review).
Original September 2021: Two stars. Held my phone securely – iPhone 8 Plus with cover and screen protector so it is not light. But glue leaked out the back release button and every time I pressed the button (which is every time I use it) to release my phone from the holder, I got extremely sticky glue on my fingers. It started leaking down the holder as well. I park in a covered garage and under shade for most the day. It’s not convenient to mount/dismount the holder every car ride. I exchanged for another one – hopefully the glue doesn’t leak since that problem is not mentioned much in the reviews.

Very satisfied with the stability and mobility of the product. It’s easy to apply and the adjustments are super simple and go to your needs! Works very well in any given environment! The suction doesn’t give even the slightest it’s super sturdy! The phone fits like a glove and it is very beneficial!

Maybe I was too rough, or maybe the plastic was not made to hold up. After using this for a month or so and moving the phone around in the holder, the ball that mounts to the back snapped off. Did some engineering and was able to re-use it without the ball. Maybe that should be a smooth metal piece instead of the thick plastic.

I don’t like the versions that clip onto vents. Plus these types are tenuous to move. Scosche is perfect as it fits into lighter. Short neck is sturdy. Just enough height not to interfere with driving. Best of all, one can keep the phone charged by using ones usb plug connection. If I needed I would buy another one.

This unit features a badly engineered and flimsy moulded fit base-with only one locating lug which causes unit to vibrate and wobble-the all-in-one moulding-will not stay steady whilst vehicle moves! Positioning lug broke of easily in limited use-suggest try “coffee mug insert variety” a very satisfactory alternative-no vibration but with no charging port unfortunately.

At first look, this seems like the perfect solution for holding your smartphone in your vehicle. The product itself is high quality and nicely designed and fabricated. However, the power accessory jack makes for a very poor option for mounting anything as it was never design for that. As much work as the designers put into making this as stable as possible, it falls short because the power jack may not be firmly secure in the dash and the phone too heavy to prevent excessive movement during use and/or resist the g-forces in a vehicle. Having a cell phone that is not firmly attached can be hazardous while driving. I would buy this only as a last resort if there is absolutely no other method to mount your phone.
