I recently installed a big stereo system in my Jeep, consisting of two power amps, 15-inch and 12-inch speakers, door speakers, and a new 10-inch touchscreen stereo head unit. Somewhere along the way, it started draining my battery even when the power was off. I kept trying to fix it, but I was exhausted and didn’t want to spend money on professional help when I believed I could solve it myself. I just needed to make more time to figure it out.
Well, this device has eliminated that problem for me. I used to have to unplug my battery cable every night before going to bed because, otherwise, my Jeep would be dead or not have enough power to start in the morning. I’ve had this device installed for four nights now, and I haven’t had to touch it since. it comes with the remote also but I don’t understand why because I would just wanna think that you’d wanna keep it on always I don’t know why you’d wanna turn it off. I can’t figure that part out yet, but it still works every time I go to turn my jeep on it starts up and I shut it down. I press on and I walk away. I think I’m doing the right thing but I’m not sure but it’s working so I’m gonna stick with that.
The installation was very easy. The negative terminal connects to the side with the elbow hanging off, and the other part connects to the wired portion of your negative terminal. So, there are two things on the negative terminal. Then, there’s a red wire that goes to your positive side. That’s all there is to it. Since then, it has started up fine and hasn’t had any problems. For the price, it has saved me a lot of time and money, and I am very happy with it.
END RESULT:I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has a lot of electronics in their car and notices a drain in the Battery. It’s a good product

I got this because I have a truck with zero bells and whistles on it, meaning manual windows, manual locks, no alarm system, etc. Most of the time I am able to park in very secure locations and am not concerned about it, but those few times I don’t feel secure I want to at least make it hard to steal, lol.
The hardest part of this was deciding on the way to mount it, but it comes with all of the components to make it work for just about any vehicle. Installation was a breeze and the instructions were easy to follow. Pairing the remote key fob switches was even easier. Both fobs work without any issues. I like the fact that there are buttons on the disconnect switch itself so it can be connected or disconnected at the battery as well as with the fobs. The components are well made and should last a long time. Time will tell how well it holds up to the elements, engine heat, etc., but I’m currently very happy with this item!

Disclaimer: My rating system: EVERYTHING starts at a 5, and goes from there. I thoroughly read the descriptions and if I don’t like the description, I simply don’t order the item. If the product shows up as advertised they get a 5. If there are unadvertised flaws, they are duly noted and stars removed accordingly…. that being said:
No more wondering when I come out if the battery will be dead. This thing stops the current flowing WITHOUT having to open the hood, get the wrench, loosen the terminal… Simple push the remote to open the circuit and push it again to engage the circuit. I keep the remote inside the glove box so it doesn’t get lost, and the other in the house on the key hook. The unit has some fault lights on it to indicate you’re battery voltage as low, good, or high, and has built in functions to allow for failsafe operation. My alternator runs a little high on my SunRader (usually about 15vdc). This device has a detector on it to prevent it from accidentally turning off, and is smart enough that if the voltage does drop below 11.8 or so, it will cut the circuit to prevent you’re battery from shorting out. Great product, and I enjoy not having to pop the hood to connect or disconnect any more.

So w of the reviews complained that this was flimsy and low-quality. I didn’t do d that to be the case, it is a little lighter than expected but still solid. Would it stand up to a 70mph? No, but neither would you.
The reason for getting this was annoying car alarms that go off randomly in the summer. I’m not sure what causes it but it’s unbelievably annoying and THIS produce is a constructive way of telling someone that. It’s actually a great solution.

With the included instructions this remote control battery disconnect is a cinch to install. I took a ride over to my storage space to install this disconnect on the battery of my small travel trailer. My battery is contained in a box with a webbed hold down strap that is frankly a pain to undo and redo. The fact that this disconnect has remote controls is why I chose it over others that are manually operated.
Problem for me is that I found that my battery is dead so I couldn’t test out the functionality and responsiveness of the unit to the remote. Based on the other reviews here I fully expect it to work just Fien once I replace my battery.

This thing is great. A buddy of mine has an issue with his truck: the previous owner installed an aftermarket alarm and made an absolute mess of the install. While we thought we had it fixed, the alarm still randomly goes off for no reason.
Enter this Killswitch. Rather than popping the hood and unhooking the battery, this thing hooked right onto the battery and allows him to turn the battery on and off from about as far as a normal car key fob would reach. The remote works great.
The wiring is very easy to install if you’ve ever installed a relay, because that’s all this thing really use: a high amp relay triggered by a remote. Good value.
