This product is great. I used it to protect my leather shoes and bags. Easy application, NO CHEMICAL SMELL, and beautiful protection. It made my old shoes look new, and my new shoes look protected. I used it on a natural buckskin backpack, blue leather shoes, black leather shoes, green leather shoes and a wrinkled, aged black messenger bag. Everything looks great; with minimal color change. It doesn’t leave a fake shine sheen either. It dried overnight and I did not have to remove product, as it was nicely absorbed in the leather. I will use this on all my leather products.

I ordered a leather phone case that was not only not waterproof, but would turn a hideous shade of dark brown with every water drop and take hours to dry. After using the otter wax, the case was 100% waterproof! And it didn’t change the color of the leather at all. When I got done wiping it down after the applying the wax, it didn’t feel greasy in anyway. I included a picture of water drops on the phone case that bead up and then the phone case after wiping the water off. It’s like the water was never there. I’m very impressed with this stuff.

Goes on very easily, and you can apply it thick. Keeps boots nice and supple and waterproof. No harsh odors either. I put a thick coat on a new pair of leather Wellingtons and it barely dented this 5oz can, so portions are generous too.

Until I purchased this item, I’ve faithfully used Mink Oil to treat all my leather products. It remains a good product, but is messier to apply and a can doesn’t last long. This product is simple and pleasant to use, leaves a wonderful finish, provides great water resistance, and I’ve already done several items and the can is still almost full. I’m sold and highly recommend this product.

I have a good looking of expensive leather sneakers/boots that I definitely mistreated.
I tried to revive the leather using a couple of other types of wax but the shoes would look for literally no more than one day.
Instead, this wax is awesome! I applied it a couple of months ago, and even using the shoes when raining, the leather still looks good and shiny!

Otterwax boot wax is a unique product that is perfectly suited for nubuck. I have a pair of Rockport chukka boots that somehow got a stain droplet on one toe. I did everything I could to remove the stain, from Gojo hand cleaner to dish soap to saddle soap. The saddle soap worked to remove most of the stain but some discoloration remained. I decided to try to wax or otherwise treat the boots to protect them from further discoloration and try to even out the remaining slight blemish. After much searching for a product that would work on suede or nubuck, I found Otterwax. It arrived promptly on schedule. I applied Otterwax with a foam applicator, but I think a small polish brush, a cloth or even fingers would work just as well. It went on evenly and left a rich light caramel color on what had been very light colored boots. I let the first application dry overnight and then made a second application. I let that dry overnight and then buffed the boots with a shoe polish brush. The boots came out perfectly, and the the new tone is perfect as well. I like it much more than the dirt-magnet beige that was the original color. The boots are now water resistant and the surface is far more durable than as-made. I’m glad I bought the large size tin because I ended up applying it to several more pairs of shoes and boots. It’s a great product that is made in the USA from natural ingredients. I intend to keep Otterwax on hand in my shoe polish box from now on.

Got this stuff for my cowboy boots and some of my leather shoes. I decided to try it out on a pair of old hiking boots. It was easy to apply, and easy to work with. The boots now easily bead water away and seem to resist dirt and debris.
