Didn’t come with a chip inside. My window for return is closed unfortunately.
Also doesn’t come with no logo like in pictures. Choose a different option don’t waist your money.

This is a good product but you must know that it comes without the chip. You have to buy the chip separate.

The picture shows that it has the PCF7935; however, no transponder chip is included. Not even the cheap junk like the XT27A. This makes it false advertising and will nearly double the cost of a key to then get the transponder chip. Basically, even if you have it cut to your ignition, it will not start the engine and you can’t get a locksmith to do it since there is no transponder to program. Seller should remove the picture of the key with the transponder.

A few years back my key remote stopped working for my 02 330ci. A little searching led me to buy a replacement battery, pry open the OEM key and replace the battery and I was back in business. Recently it happened again, but this time, a new battery did not fix it. I recently came across this option and thought it would solve everything, missed the comments saying that the key will not turn on the car. I programmed the remote and it worked easily, using the directions in the comments (push and hold this button, then that button, sit in the car, etc.). THEN, I realized the replacement key would not turn the car on. I figured this was still better than no remote. BUT, started looking for other options and came across a comment that said to start the car with the working key, turn off then immediately use the new key, and guess what, it will start the car. Unfortunately, the next time I tried 30 minutes later, it wouldn’t work. Hopefully I’ll come across a way to make the new key permanently functional.

I followed the written and other instructions from the previous review, which worked great. One thing to know is that this will NOT replace your OEM key. If you want to cut out our original key and somehow glue on this key fob. It will NOT have the program chips, as some negative reviews have been posted. This is more of a secondary key in your keychain, as a primary fob key to remotely (un)lock your door.
