I brought this for my 05 Envoy when I had it. I put about 10k miles before I traded it in, and it made the SUV handle better in the Alaska snow and ice environment with all the ice ruts and pot holes. It seemed better than the stock ones, but that was probably due to me buying the car used. Having everything under one assembly made install fast and easy, and makes it worth spending the extra money for it. I have brought monroe quick strut shocks for another car, and I will be purchasing for any car that needs it

These seem to be well made, quality replacement front strut assemblies for a GMC Envoy 2003. They are sold singly and come fully assembled–shocks, springs, etc. The job took about 1.5 hours per side and was the first time I’ve done it. The only special tools you need are a torque wrench as the spec calls for 52 ft-lbs on the bottom bolt and nut. I am fairly handy with cars but no expert–just watched a helpful Youtube video a few times. The most difficult part of the job was getting the strut in and out of the bottom seat–it required a lot of pushing, twisting, and a screwdriver to wedge it open–as per the Youtube video.

Paired these with Monroe reflex shocks, so far very happy huge difference in ride quality, old struts were originals with 210,000km. Best part is amazon price.. Canadian tire was $298 a piece, part source on sale for $213, Amazon $168, fairly easy to install with basic tools and good lubricant

We had issues with camber wear on the tires of our 2006 trailblazer. Alignment shop said struts were weak, replaced them with these and immediately noticed the SUV sat higher. Didn’t even realize the old struts had lowered it over the years.

Replaced the OEM Bilstein front struts on a 2006 Isuzu Ascendet due to leak and loss of stability. Didn’t want to go the Asian cheapo route, so settled on the Monroe Quick Struts. Installation went easy, exact fit, stability as expected, They seem to ride as good as the Bilsteins as far as performance they are as expected, no noise, comfortable plush ride, and value priced and best of all made in America by American Jobs. Probably Asian parts , but, eh…….it is what it is.
Installation was easier than I thought with only real concern was spreading the bottom clamp to remove the strut. I used a chisel punch and some Knock R Loose I bought here as well and it came off. You’ll have to remove the upper ball joint bolt, lower tie rod end and sway bar end link and it’s a wrap. I’ll give an update in 3 months as to the long-term performance.

2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT. LS. Perfect fit. Easy change took about 10 minutes per side. (not including lifting vehicle and removing wheels) NOTE: If you are getting these to replace old or original parts you will have some difficulty removing the old strut from the lower bracket. I used a large pickle fork to spread the pinch fitting and it popped out just fine. Then I cleaned the rust and dirt out of the lower receptacle and the new one slid in just fine.
These returned my vehicle to what I believe to be better than new ride quality. This is our first SUV that was purchased with 150k on the odo. I never noticed how truly bad the ride had become. I just always assumed it was because it was a top heavy SUV. Eventually the ride deteriorated to the point of being unacceptable. These units combined with the load compensating Monroe rear units have made our Trailblazer ride like a new car. No more swaying back and forth repeatedly when going over bumps at an angle. No more nose dive when braking. The braking distance has also been dramatically lowered and now feels much more controlled.

Purchased to fit a 2008 GMC Envoy. Pictures from product listing/description match original part, and the shipped replacement part is printed with correct/corresponding part number, but the product I recieved obviously does not match the original part. Replacement is 1) longer than original, 2) has fewer spring coils, and most importantly, 3) has a larger cap that prevents part from fitting the mounting location. Of course, only discovered the problem after disassembly of my vehicle to find the new part would not fit. I could not leave my vehicle disassembled in my driveway to wait for new replacement parts to be shipped (nor did I trust that they’d be any different from the ones I already had), so get the job completed, I was forced to purchase parts at a local retail outlet to insure I was getting parts that would fit my vehicle.
Fitment issues aside, the product provided appears to be of high quality, and had it actually fit the vehicle, would have been an excellent value for the price. I assume would be relatively easy to install, again had it actually fit the vehicle because the correct replacement I purchased at Aut0Z0ne isntalled without issue.
I will be initiating a return for full refund. I refuse to pay return shipping or receive Amazon credit because the Seller is at fault for providing a part that differs from the product description and fitment guide. Please make this right.
