Second Q3 phone mount I’ve bought and this is definitely the best of the bunch. It’s not cheap feeling like the others and the mount holds the phone right while not rattling. The mounting point (ball joint) is very tight and no sagging what so ever. Even of it did, a small amount of electrical tape on the ball solves this problem anyways.
It’s also the only mount that securely holds your phone in landscape mode is which amazing for letting my kid in the back seat watch movies on long drives. The other ones don’t allow landscape at all (they’re very vague in their descriptions and while it may rotate to landscape the phone will slip out of the mount.
Edit/update: so it doesn’t hold a phone in landscape unless you have a thick case. With my wife’s phone it wedges into the bottom bracket and somehow that keeps the side supports gripped tight allowing for landscape. With my phone, or all normal sized phones, it won’t work. The brackets pull tight when there’s weight on the bottom one. Without that weight (when the phone is landscape there’s 0 weight on the bottom bracket) it won’t clamp tight. You can rest your phone on the bottom bracket in landscape but it’s just leaning against the back and a bump will knock it off.
The fact that you can angle it in any direction without it sagging is awesome.
The only negative is they put the connection from the part which mounts over the hazard button to the part which holds the phone at the TOP of the section which attaches to the car. No idea why they did this because when the phone is in portrait, it blocks the Audi radio display. Had they added the phone mount at the bottom it wouldnt block it. Silly design decision.
Also if you have a really thick case it may not fit into the bottom clip of the phone holder. My wife’s phone has a chunky case and I have to wedge it in which makes it hard to remove. My case is medium thickness and fits fine.
Other than that, no complaints, this is still the best mount for Q3s on Amazon.

The car phone holder mount obstructs the viewing angle of car screen (especially when trying to reverse the car). The phone mount knob should be lower as shown in the picure but the product shipped has the knob at the top!!
Otherwise stable product. Returning and hoping the phone mount shown in picture is shipped instead.
