I have tried multiple holders for my phone but because it’s a jeep it has a lot of movement. After a week the top sticky part kept coming off the dash. I had to put it on dash because my vents move and doesn’t hold heavy things. I really was hoping it would work but just kept having to stick the top every few minutes. The bottom did stay on. I went with the window suction instead.

This item is of excellent quality, although the outfitting could be easier. Tried attaching to my 2011 mustang and it took a few tried to get on the windshield. Overall, it holds the phone very well. It does the job and has held up for months.

This Magsafe Car mount charger works well but has some flaws.
I want to preface this with that I do not have an iPhone, so this review is based on my experience using the included metallic ring provided with this charger mount.
First off I like the idea of the combination charger and Magsafe mount, however this has some problems also. The mount comes with an adjustable mounting bracket for your standard air vent and another that mounts to your dashboard with a sticky pad. I have only used the former and not the later so I cannot tell how strong the dashboard mount stays in place. Included with the mount is a USB-C to USB-A cable to allow for charging when connected to USB-A power. It also comes with a metallic ring that you can stick onto a flat backed case or phone and a template you can use to help locate ideal place to mount it so that it will charge your phone.
When the metallic ring is attached to the proper place, the mount will hold the phone and charge it. It is easy to attach, and remove from the mount which makes it very convenient. This is what I was looking for. I wanted to be able to just place my phone on the mount and have it hold it and charge without having to mess with wires or opening and closing jaws to hold the phone.
Where I have a problem is that the mount does not hold the supplied ring very well. If I have the phone vertical, after a few seconds the phone will slide down and will not be in the proper place to charge any longer. Then if I do not adjust it, it will end up sliding off the mount after a couple of minutes. When I have the phone horizontal, the phone will for the most part stay in place and only after a little while move to the point it stops charging. Most of the time in this position the phone will stay attached to the mount when I am driving, if I hit any larger bumps or rougher terrain it falls off. I am using a S24 Ultra with the supplied ring directly attached to the back of a case that is light weight, I do not know how well it works with iPhones or other cases that have the Magsafe such built in.
Once I got a case that had a strong ring built in, I have not had any problems with the holder keeping the phone in the proper position no matter if it was horizontal or vertical. So, it looks like the provided ring doesn’t have enough strength to hold the case I put it on. Can’t say if the case was too heavy, or the provided ring was not strong enough.

I love using car mounts for my phone. This allows me to have my phone visible and hands-free while driving. I frequently use GPS, and to have the phone in front of me without having to look down or look away from the road is smart, and much safer. To do that, you have to either mount on your dashboard or on an air vent. I don’t like attaching things to my dashboard, and in the past, air vent mounts have been very problematic. Often it is just a spring loaded clamp that inevitably slips, and the whole thing falls onto the floor. The other problem is that often the clip that attaches to the air vent is basically a permanent fixture. Once you slide it on and clip it to the back of the air vent louver, it’s there till you either break the louver or break the clip. Moving it is next to impossible.
Not so with this device. As you can see in the picture, you turn the dial, and the arm with the hook on the end clips to the back of the louver, extends and retracts. So all you have to do is extend it all the way, slide it in and hook it on the back of the louver, and then tighten it. It’s secures to the louver and stays put. You wanna move it, no problem. Just loosen it, and it comes right off. What an awesome feature.
The magnet is very strong. I have had no problem with my phone shaking off while driving. Admittedly, I don’t go over a lot of rough terrain, but it is such a tight fit, I have very little worry. Charging is fairly decent. It’s not particularly fast, but I live in rural, Montana, so a trip to Walmart is a 45 minute drive. This charge is just fine during that time.
It does come with a base to attach it to the dashboard if that’s your thing. It has sticky foam that you peel off and press down. It seems to be very solid, but I don’t envision myself ever using it, because the vent system is so good.
I can’t speak to durability, as I’ve only had it for a month. But it seems to be very well-made and solid. so far, I am extremely happy with this car mount, and will only use a car phone mount with the same attachment system in the future.

After many failed attempts on my end to find the right fit for my use and my vehicle this one hit all the marks. I knew I didn’t want the vent feature any longer after one click to many on a previous product broke my vent, I tried the dash mount. It fits perfectly in my 2019 F150 right above my radio. Solid grip sturdy and easy to release plus it has a charge option built in for Qi iPhones which I use always.
