I’d been looking for a phone mount for my Mini that didn’t stick on the window or dashboard and found this. It was super easy to install and holds the phone in a perfect spot. It is easily seen while driving without interfering with you sight.
Hold my iPhone 11 Pro with case securely. Great purchase at a good price.

The bracket itself, which connects behind the tachometer is sturdy. However, the actual phone holder is made of cheap plastic and the screw stripped out of the plastic, allowing the holder to spin, and the phone flops side to side, making it pretty much useless.
I went to the manufacturer web site and they only stand behind their product for 30 days. Now I see why. Won’t buy again..

This product is a very clever and well thought design for your Mini Cooper. Very easy to install and all the necessary tools needed is included. It flawlessly blends in with your interior to the point it looks like it came from the factory. Also, it will fit any smart phone with any case you might have on and you can display it in Landscape or portrait as well. Very happy with this purchase and it was shipped very fast. A+++ services!!!

The metal mount that attaches to the tachometer is great, just what I needed to give me a place to mount a phone holder in my Mini Cooper S. It wasn’t too hard to install, took me maybe 10 mins or so. No directions but the install seemed pretty obvious to me.
The little plastic bit at the end that holds the phone is junk though. Cheap plastic and the ball joint is a little loose, so the phone slowly starts to lean as you drive over bumps and such. I’ve tried to tighten the ball joint as much as I can but it never gets tight enough to stop this from happen.
If you buy this with the intent of just using the metal bracket and replacing the phone holder, you have the right idea. I’m still looking for a magsafe mount that I can attached to this without needing to glue it on.
Edit: The Tesla Phone Mount from HZGAMER here on Amazon fits this mount perfectly. Just unscrew the magsafe portion from the Tesla mount and screw it onto this Mini mount.

It was very easy to install. It holds the phone well, but flops around on the bracket. I dread putting my phone on it. Will replace with something else in the near future.

I could not be happier with this purchase. The bracket fits perfectly and it works like a charm. This is definitely the way to go for a Mini Cooper. I tried numerous other holders and none worked well. The only challenge is the installation. The 3 screws behind the odometer are really difficult to get to because you cant use a regular philips screwdriver. I had to go out and buy a super short handheld screw driver to remove the screws and then bought three screws with square heads to make it easier to install. The effort paid off really well though as I am really happy with it.

Read mixed reviews on fitting this, but I found it very easy.
The kit came with a took for removing screws and rubber washers to prevent squeaking.
Will likely take 15 mins to fit. Beware when removing tachometer screws as tgey can easily drop into the housing below the steering wheel. Use paper towels to plug those gaps before removing. If you drop a screw into the steering wheel housing it’ll fall below and fairly easy to retrieve.
Once fitted it’s been free of any squeak or vibration and, in my view, is the best option for phone holder in a mini.
Update after 4 years installed: i did need to replace the phone holder recently, but left the bracket in place. It started to come loose after a year and finally broke after 4 years. I upgraded the spring loaded holder with another intended for a tripod for $8, which solved the issue and is much better. Should have done this sooner as makes a huge difference to looks and quality. Still very happy though

There’s no instructions to putting this on, so you might figure there are extra parts. no. they are all used . the ket comes with three screws of longer length designed to be used with the rubber isolators to dampen road vibration. All in all this works very well. Installation is not the easiest but that is not a product issue but a application issue. I suggest removing the screws holding the tach on then installing with full access to the back of the tack. Make sure when you put the tack back on, you make sure the rails are in the guide.
