I’ve been using this magnetic holder with my iPhone 16 for about a month, and it’s worked great. I’d initially planned to use the adhesive option, but the air vent clip ended up being a far superior choice to avoid obstructing my dash controls. Build quality and overall design are all here – I’m very pleased.

I ordered this phone holder because I need a circle shaped phone holder for my iPhone 14+.
My main concern was not having to remove my phone case in order for the magnetic capability to work. I’m very pleased to say that the magnet strength is very strong and there is no need to remove my phone case.
I also like the fact that it’s a phone holder that can be plugged in so that your phone can charge as well.
It comes with a circle shaped magnet for your phone just in case your phone doesn’t have MagSafe capabilities. There’s also a vent clip.
This phone holder is also small , durable, and convenient it’s not big and bulky, so you don’t have to worry about it being in your way while driving.

This is a review of the Kaistyle Mount 2BDOG-G18
This unit is designed to allow mounting on a somewhat curved surface.
The design is very similar to that of the Scosche MPQMRDV-SP MagicMount™, with exceptions:
• No car power adapter is included, nor is a cable mounting clip.
• Uses a 17mm ball and socket joint, with the ball on the end of a short stud that is part of the base, which mounts to the dash and the socket being part of the piece that holds the cell phone.
• The unit has a USB-C socket, instead of having a permanently attached cable.
• Does not claim Qi2 compatibility.
• Was able to purchase for less than 1/2 the price.
Also includes are a USB charging cable, cleaning wipes, a metallic ring for phones lacking a MagSafe Style ring, a template for attaching the ring, and a vent mount.
The USB charging cable is about 1m in length, has a USB-C connector on one end and a USB-A on the other.
Suitable Applications:
A good solution for those applications where having the cell phone centered above the dash front, close to the dash edge, is desirable. Or if you have a suitable vertical surface. It is probably not suitable for most applications on the horizontal part of the dash, away from the dash edge. And it isn’t a good solution, if you want the center of the cell phone to be below the plane of the top of the dash surface.
Pros:
Provisions for mounting on a slightly curved surface, as long as it isn’t too curved.
Ball and socket joint allows up/down, left/right tilt and rotation.
Includes everything that most users would need/want to install the product.
Reasonably Priced
Cons:
Does not claim Qi2 compatibility.

[Please read completely: this was updated] I found the setup instructions useful, and indeed it installed nicely on my 2024 Grand Cherokee. I had previously been using a short USB cable plugged into one of the available nearby USB outlets for charging, which worked as intended. But when I plugged the USB C end into this device and attached my iPhone 16 (with mag safe case) and the included USB A to C cable, it went into the expected “clock” mode when turned horizontal. But it also intermittently went between “charging” and not charging at about 2 second intervals. Support responded later the same day, and is shipping a device that they believe will resolve the issue. UPDATE: Support promptly (via expedited delivery) sent a replacement product, “Coolpow BC0602/W10” that was identical but included also a device to plug into a 12V outlet in the car. The instructions encourage use of the 12V source, with the admonition “Most car USB-A ports provide only 5V/1A low-power output…”, which would not be sufficient to charge an iPhone. That had indeed been our problem; and with this version of the product providing the needed device to plug into the 12V car output everything works very nicely. The teaching point seems to be that unless you’re able to confirm your car’s USB outlet provides sufficient power, using this configuration of the product is the way to go. And now that it is up and running, it looks great and performs perfectly. We’ve upgraded to five stars…

I wanted to use my new magnetic charging case, so I bought this charger. Price with coupon was way better than the competition. It turns out that buying a new charger does not add places on my dash where I can attach one, doh! My existing one attaches in two places on top of the dash and has a long bendy arm that end up at a fairly normal mounting spot. I ended up swapping out the head of that old one for the head of this new one. Works great! So even though my old charger worked fine, and the mount is exactly the same, I am glad I paid the money to upgrade slightly. It is so nice to be able to just pop the phone on and off, and not have to worry about the grabber function. It’s one of those little things in life that add some joy. I haven’t had any problems with charging, and the rotator holds well, but moves if I need it to. Of course, that is half old mount and half new.
My phone is a Samsung S25 Ultra.
My case is a Spigen Ultra Hybrid MagFit clear (coolest looking case ever!).
