AutoZone diagnosed my ECL and confirmed with p1166 and p1167 error codes. However, they quoted me this O2 sensor for $199. This one from Amazon for my California Honda Accord LX 2.3L costs me only $54.7.
One major downside is that the cable is about 1.25″ short. Moreover, it my ECL lighted on after a couple of days again. So I guess the price sometimes is not a factor to buy or not to buy. After several tries, I ended up paying someone to fix it anyway.
Finally, I returned it back to Amazon but Amazon claimed they did not receive it, never. So I got nothing back. I am tired of arguing with them. I’ll gradually decrease my purchased from Amazon.

Fixed my rough idle and check engine light on a 1997 accord. Wire is slightly longer than stock (maybe 1″) and it fits perfectly. If you are using an offset short o2 sensor socket, it will hit the heat shield. I had to remove my exhaust heat shield to get my old sensor out and this new one in. If you use a longer socket tool it would work fine, but I didn’t have one. This sensor looks almost identical to stock. I will update if mpg improves.

Bought this to replace O2 sensor off exhaust manifold for a 02 Honda accord with 2.3L motor was a perfect replacement !All is good no engine light now!!

Replaced the O2 sensor on the exhaust manifold on a 2002 Honda Accord SE with 107,000 miles a few days ago. The repair was extremely straight forward (part was almost completely identical to the original; same brand but slightly different part#) and it only took about 30 minutes. I had picked up a Hanes repair manual from the local library beforehand which made the fix a snap. No more check engine light, and saved about $40 over all the local auto stores (they didnt have this model in stock either) not to mention how much saved over a repair shop.

This worked perfectly in a 1998 Honda Accord (non-california). I compared this to the original, and the original appears to be a Denso made sensor as well. The wire is perhaps 1 inch longer. Copper anti-seize compound is included in a small tube (more than enough for installation)
Just a note for installers, this does not take much torque to remove (a 3/8″ normal size bar) will pop this out easily when cold. Because of it’s position in the Honda Accord, it will not “seize” or require extraordinary measures to remove it.
It’s much easier to use the correct slotted socket (to get around the wire). I used the “Lisle 12100 Oxygen Sensor Socket” available on Amazon for around $15. I had previously purchased it for another car

This is the correct Part for the front Oxygen/Fuel Sensor. On the denso site says its a different part number but that is incorrect. Check the white sticker on the right side of the engine if it says F23A this is it If you got a Code: P0135 Engine Light Code. Also if you want to save some money but the 234-2621 instead the wire is a bit longer, but it sthe exact same part.

my car is 2001 honda accord lx 4 door, 49 state emission type.
I got CEL error about o2 heated sensor. I bought this after doing research.
installed it and it worked perfect. The price is only 1/3 of the OEM product (which is actually also made by Denso).
This item is installed into the exhaust manifold under the hood.
I erased the error code and reset CEL; the CEL does not come back again after driving for over 300 miles.

I would have given a 5 if not for the free shipping goof-up.
This is a perfect fit for my 2000 Honda Accord LEV (again NOT ULEV). ULEV as other reviewers have noted is 3 times more expensive than LEV. DO NOT INTERCHANGE parts – that is why some people who have posted negative reviews had to deal with. The ULEV O2 cables are longer than LEV O2 connector cables in length.
I have visited this page several times and walked away unsure. I had to read all reviews before it began to make sense to me that there were indeed 2 different oxygen sensors for the LEV and ULEV models. So, I repeat, very very important, if you are in the market for an Oxygen sensor ( FRONT or REAR???), Not only do you want to find out that is a FRONT O2 Sensor but also verify that it is a LEV or ULEV car. ULEV cars are the ones driven in California. There are LEV and ULEV models sold up here in the North East.
The O2 sensor came with the copper paste (anti-lock or anti-seize compound)…it was a 10 minute job for my mechanic – pop the hood up, remove the protective shield, and using a long socket and wrench, remove and replace. I waited a good week after the installation to come back and post the review.
The only wrinkle: UPS SurePost DID NOT surely deliver. They slipped and were unaplogetic and wanted me to sign up for their monthly plan ($3.50) so that I can pay and sign up for picking the package from a UPS distribution center. This is after UPS kept saying the package would be delivered on time and on the last business day, just plain switched the delivery date by 3 more days. I had an appointment with the mechanic which I had to postpone by 3 days. The package apparently sat in a UPS distribution center from Sat morning until Monday morning when it was passed to USPS that delivered it on the following morning.
EDIT: I read on the other rear O2 sensor thread this tip – BEFORE YOU PURCHASE, go to[…] and select your make model and you will see…for example, for a 2000 Honda Accord SE, there are 3 varieties of engines (SULEV, ULEV and LEV). Find out which is the right oxygen sensor, come back to Amazon and purchase

This sensor is a perfect fit. You unscrew the old one and screw it right in. Other places wanted 80 – 180 for the exact same part! Pluse the cost of labor. It took me less then 15 mins to install. And it was shipped next day delivery! Very happy with my purchase, oh you must have a 7/8th wrench! Cause the old one is incrusted into the manifold. I did this on a 2000 Honda accord DX
