Pros:

* The vent mount clip does not securely hold on fast turns — it’s very startling to have my iPhone 16 fly around the car unexpectedly — thankfully the dash mount is also included

This charges noticeably faster than my old one. I have a similar version that uses the suction cup mount but the charging speed was pretty slow and it was starting to charge inconsistently, So, I replaced the charger with this one since they all use the same adapter and its much better now. Very happy with the result.

First, there isnt enough friction to keep the phone upright and the phone slowly rotates with vehicle vibrations. The rougher the road, the more it rotates.
Secondly, charger is underpowered and phone loses charge while attached.

I needed a MagSafe charger for my new car, a 2022 Toyota Highlander. The vents in this car are much wider than those in my previous vehicle, and my old charger, which had an adjustable hook, wasn’t compatible. This new charger, however, clips onto the vent and features a stabilizer arm, making it a perfect fit.
I love how well it works—it securely holds my phone in place and prevents the weight of the phone from putting too much strain on the vent slats. In my old car, other chargers caused the vent slats to bend, but this one avoids that issue entirely thanks to the stabilizer arm.
The charger powers up my phone quickly, and its adjustability is a huge bonus. I can rotate my phone for the perfect viewing angle, which is super helpful while driving. It also came with two mounting options, but I opted for the vent clip since I didn’t want to use anything sticky in my new car. This setup works perfectly for me.
Overall, I’m really happy with this charger and would definitely recommend it to others!

These things are always so vehicle-specific. In my Ford F250, I have a hard time finding a product that will work with my vents. I had high hopes for this one, but it did not work for me. I could have done the sticky method, but I just don’t want that on my interior. I put it in the Toyota though, and it works great. It then migrated to an older Mustang with the sticky pad and also works well.
The operation is stiff (as it should be) when tightened down. The magnet is good and strong, holds the phone in place even on rough roads. I regret that it does not swivel, but it isn’t advertised to, so I can’t take away for that.
Bottom line for me is that it’s really good, it’s just not for my specific primary automobile. If you have standard vent louvers, it’s a “go”.

This does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The extra are at the bottom helps keep it in proper position. The duckbill clamp adheres to the vent blade securely. However, it looks like a thin piece of plastic is holding the clamp pieces together, so be careful about opening the clamp mouth too much. Construction is plastic, which makes it lightweight but sturdy when secured in place.
It comes with a USB cord. But if you have an older car without a USB port, make sure that you get a cigarette lighter charger that outputs enough power to make this work.
