Fit perfectly in my 2013 Explorer Sport. Much better price than what dealer wanted to charge. The instructions I had said be careful when unsnapping the hinge for the glove box or it can break. Interesting enough, this was the first time I replaced it instead of letting the dealer and the part was already broke so it would appear the dealer broke it one of the previous times the filter was replaced. It really doesn’t interfere with the operation of the glove box so not a big thing … but the point is they are supposed to be the experts and when they break something you would expect they would order a replacement and have it covered by the warranty. Anyway, I’m very happy with the filter.

No problem with this filter. Only problem with Explorer is that is is much harder to access and replace this filter than it should be.

Well, the filter fit perfect. It was exactly as advertised. The only issue was while installing I did not remove the door. The you tube video didn’t show that. While reaching behind the glove box I broke the pins that hold the door at the bottom. Dint break them bad enough to trash the door, thank goodness. They slide out to release the door. Add that step to the video instructions and the door will drop and you have plenty of room to work. Good luck!

EDIT: The activated Charcoal is EXCELLENT at removing odors and freshening up the air. This filter ATP filter (on the right) had 30K miles of heavy duty use. When we first started noticing reduced airflow and moisture and humidity buildup in the vents, I knew it was time to change it and I’m sure it had been that way for a little bit before we noticed. We even felt water droplets dripping on feet o n the floor vents. The Ford dealer service adviser told me that they sometimes spray them with a scented spray, which honestly doesn’t sound very attractive to me. Either way the OEM Motorcraft cabin air filter is plain and simple and isn’t worth their price or your time to replace it with. Only go with this filter for a 2010+ Ford Flex.
Great price for a carbon activated filter. Replaced the VERY dirty factory filter in my 2013 Flex with 90K miles. Im not sure how well the carbon part works for eliminating odors because I dont have a new clean filter without carbon, to compare to.

For some reason, every one of my wife’s vehicles have had a musty interior odor. I’m thinking it’s her shoes that she leaves in there. The problem is that the smell lingers even after she cleans out her car. The problem has always been fixed with a new carbon activated air cabin filter. This one is probably the cheapest I can find and works just fine.

This thing was a pain to install…….only because of the way the ductwork behind the dash is laid out. You have to drop the glove box to get at it, be really careful not to put any pressure on the glovebox when it’s down or it’s easy to break the plastic hinge on the lower back left.

I have a 2010 Ford Taurus Limited and after you remove the glove box door it was easy to pop off the door to install this Cabin Air Filter replacement. Since I don’t remember when it was last replaced I used a black Sharpie and marked the present date on the front side. I also printed a dated Dymo label and installed it inside the glove box. Also if you have ever hear a “Clicking Noise” under the right side of your Ford dash as I have, it is a great time to replace you defective Motorcraft YH-1779 Motor Assy used on the vehicle. Very common on Ford (check correct # for replacement on your vehicle) that operates the heater/AC blend door. inexpensive, and easy to install!

This was my second time purchasing this cabin air filter it does really nice made from coconut that doesn’t have a weird smell to it you can also spray some cologne on it and it will last forever and ever blowing through your vents bI have a 2016 Taurus s h o with the 3.5 L twin turbo bworks out really good I’ve had the car since new and I’ve only had to replace the filter three times
