I have an ’04 Sonata. The filter was easy to install and fit perfectly. Let’s just say it has been a while since the filter was changed, so I noticed an immediate change in the air quality, just because the old one was filthy and the air had been blowing through it. The air is cleaner with a very “blank” smell.

Perfect fit … and easy enough to change that I now plan to do it every six months, as recommended. (The old filter was many years old … probably original!! … and NASSSSSTY!!! Who knew?)
It is amazing (but, in retrospect, certainly not surprising) how much more air volume the vent fan now moves! Wish I’d known, years ago, that this car had a cabin filter!! (Don’t be like me; check your manual or google about your car.)

Quality product. If you are going to replace the cabin filter (most don’t even know it’s there) than we suggest buying the carbon type for better filtering. The ATP fit our Santa Fe perfectly and was very easy to do so with a couple tools.

I purchased this cabin air filter for my Hyundai Santa Fe 2003 after finding out that the previous owner had installed an incorrect white paper filter. After trying a carbon activated filter in my 2011 Sonata I found the difference in air cleaning performance to be significant and worth the extra cost. This is a two piece filter and the first one I ordered arrived broken. Amazon and the supplier quickly replaced the filter and I was on my way. installed on my 05 sonata. i read reviews that this is a good filter but beware of the misprinted directional arrows. those reviews were from back in 2013 so i figured it would be fixed by now. but nope. the one i got today had the misprinted arrows. i installed them backwards according to the arrows but hoping its correct.

So far, so good. Was a pain in the arse to disassemble glove box, but nothing to do with filter. Only thing I hope is that I put it in right bcs it has no directional and found out I couldn’t go by the direction old filter was placed in bcs there was none.😬

Had same problem as a previous reviewer with having a 2004 Santa Fe – the tabs to pull the filter out are on the wrong side and had to cut them off in order to fit it in the right direction for airflow so beware!!!! Additionally, it didn’t fit as well as the filter that I removed as there was room for it to move back and forth. Finally, the airflow seemed to be more restricted than with the filter that I removed. All of this is the reason for the 3stars. I just installed it and will have to give it some actual use time in order to comment on it’s effectiveness.
