Nice switches…HORRIBLE WIRING DIAGRAM. it took me a good 30 minutes to figure it out. Basically you have 4 wires, 2 black and 2 red. There are no markings on the back of the switch. The black wires are the switch contacts. One of the black wires goes to your battery positive or ignition 12v (cringe) and the other black wire goes to your relay/accessory. The two red wires are the switch internal LED light. So one of the red wires goes to ground (cringe) and the other red wire will piggy back off the black wire going to the battery/ignition 12v. That will illuminate the switch all the time. OR attach the red wire to black wire going to your relay/accessory and the switch will light up only when you turn the switch on. Also I don’t think you can change the buttons symbol once you pop the plastic cover on. The plastic button cover is flush with the switch bezel so I think your probably destroy it trying to get it off.

The items look good quality. However, these lights have caps that snap in place once you choose an icon. Instead of 2 clear switches, they sent one where someone used the snowflake sticker. So that is already snapped in place. You can see the one icon sticker missing in the sheet.
Now I have to either find a way to get it off without scratching it, or send it all back. The seller could easily see in the clear bag that this item was already used. The instructions make no mention of how to “unsnap” a button cover. Also, in the third photo you can see the plugs on the used switch were stripped off. This makes it even more unusable. I will send back.
Update: they resent me the buttons, this time there were no issues. The buttons are actually really nice, high quality, and work perfectly. Instructions are poor, hard to understand, they seem to be bad translations of original Chinese documentation. But you can figure it out with YouTube videos that are available.

I really like these switches. I have bought about 8 of them. Here is what you need to note. The colored wires represent the color of the LED light. Green wires for instance are positive and negative for the green LED backlight for the switch. Note that these can be reversed… so positive can go to either wire.
The other two wires are for the switch itself. If you want the backlight to illuminate when the switch is on, all you have to do is connect one of the colored wires to ground (this will be the negative side of the led), and then get the other colored wire and connect it to the black wire that is hot when you press the switch. So as the thing you intend to switch is powered, you also pass power to the LED backlight.
I would use a relay for anything more than a half amp draw. I do this for all circuits of this nature. It will just make the switch last longer because what kills these switches is the arcing when you turn them on and off under load. Even though they are rated for 5 amps, switching this big a load will arc significantly.
Be careful to choose the right symbol to insert under the clear button cap because once you press it in, there is no easy way to change it out without destroying the cap. At least not that I have found!

I wanted stickers for my existing switches. Didn’t stick so I tried to super glue that made a mess and still didn’t stick. Threw it all away.

Key points:
– The symbols are a high quality plastic that gets placed under a plastic cap, so the symbol will not wear or fall off!
– ****WRONG****The wires are solid core, not stranded.
– The wires are stranded, just very stiff.
– You receive two sets of symbols, so if you need two of the exact same switch you only need to buy one of these sets.
The following is my initial impression which may change with use, but so far the switches do appear to be of high quality. The wires are terminated with male spade connectors, the quality of the crimp and stripping can not be determined yet as they are well covered with heat shrink, I do expect to be removing the spade connectors and will try to remember to inspect the strip and crimp and then update the review. The potting appears to be well done and clean.

It’s too bright for an automotive dash switch up high on the dash as it ships but it was inexpensive enough that adding an in-line resistor for my install worked to bring the brightness down for nighttime illumination. I couldn’t find any other momentary with a black housing and a hazard switch triangle symbol.
The wiring was surprising, the lamp appears to have a rectifier so it doesn’t matter which way positive and negative are connected.
The button is deceptively small but there wasn’t a lot of room where I needed to install it so that actually worked out.

I bought a few previous iterations of this switch, which had sensible wiring and a wiring diagram (which were great). The new version has 2 black wires and 2 green wires (all completely unlabelled) I think I have wrecked these last 2 switches trying to work out which is positive and negative in. Awful!!

Once I figured out the wiring they work well. Use a 3/4 in bit for the holes.
Wired them to not glow unless on.
