It’s silicon (sticky) suction disc doesn’t need the tensioner to stay put on a window but does firmly lock it into place. The lock offs on the adjustable parts hold firm.
I got mine to hold to a vauxhall slightly curved dash board top with very little effort

I was skeptical that the suction cup could hold strongly on the textured surface of my Opel Insignia 2009. I was wrong. The suction cup is very sticky and pliable. It seemed to form a very good seal.
The product was shipped with no excessive or wasteful packaging and all components were contained snugly in a box. What’s in the box:

I think my favorite part of this is just how easy it is to get my smartphone in and out of it and how securely it holds it. The portion that holds the cellphone can accommodate a fairly large phone even with a case on it. The sides that hold it in expand automatically with the press of 2 side buttons – that my friends, is absolutely wonderful!
Very simple to set up; simply remove the dial from the ball socket, slip the nut over the ball and then push the holder in place. Secure by screwing the nut and you are done. Easy.
The base is secured to the dashboard with a secure suction and sticky substance. Before you stick down the base, figure out how and which way you would like to adjust your cellphone from and work it out. While you can reposition it at any time with a quick wash, best to work that out and get it right the first time. Then you simply wipe down your dashboard with the included wet and dry wipes, then stick the base down. Next, you push the suction tab down and voila, again, easy and done.
There is also an included vent option, which seems easy enough to install, though I did not try this myself.
I just recently purchased a new cabbed tractor and surprisingly not much thought was given to holding or storing an operator’s cell phone in a convenient fashion when operating the tractor. It is often inconvenient to dig your phone out of a pocket to receive/transmit a call or get the latest weather information while you are harvesting your crops. I have never been much of a fan of suction-cupped phone mounts because I found them cheap or flimsily made, falling onto your dash et cetera… NO MORE! but when I got this YRU car mount, it is “WOW”! This cellphone holder is rugged and fully adjustable six ways from Sunday! The ABS plastic used is of good quality and the unit feels robust and not flimsy.
The holder comes with two types of mounts that are firmly attached to the phone holder itself via a ball and socket connection: a vent clip mount and a suction cup mount. While both mounts are very well made, the suction cup mount was my solution for I have a massive flat front windshield in the front of my cab. The kit contained good instructions for the proper mounting of their product as well as both alcohol cleaning and drying swabs. The suction cup is very tacky and once mounted on a smooth, properly cleaned surface it is nearly impossible to pull off without breaking the suction seal first!
I liked how the holder has a built-in telescopic height adjustment to further configure your mounting. The arms of the phone holder securely hold your cases or uncased phones with rubberized, non-marring clamps. The release buttons are easy to operate and remove your phone. The phone is also cradled by a fixed bottom ledge that still allows you to attach your charging cable without interference.
How did this jig perform? All in all, it cradled my cased iPhone 14 Pro and my HUAWEY securely and provided full, unfettered functionality in a convenient position. Operating the tractor over rough terrain did not dislodge my cell phone nor detach the holder itself. PERFECT!
Cost-effectiveness and value: I was extremely satisfied with the quality and functionality of this product; it is well-made, rugged, and does the job it should in an efficient manner. At a current price of $29.99, I feel it is of great value for the quality and functionality delivered. The price reflects the quality of this product.
In summary: The “Upgraded car phone holder mount” made by YRU is well made, will hold your cellphone securely, and provide unfettered functionality in a convenient position. I would recommend this product without reservation.
I noticed it does shake a little while driving as i extended the telescopic arm all the way,but that’s acceptable.I always had to find the end of the charging cable but with the cable organizer attachment ,you can clip the cables to it and its always there for you .this phone holder is really well designed and made . The vent mount attachment is very solid as well but I prefer to put it on dash board .

I am definitely a person who loves to travel and most of the time I would choose to rent a car when I travel. Due to my unfamiliarity with new places, I need a phone holder to hold my phone so I can drive safely and accurately with my phone’s GPS. The main purpose of my holder purchase is to use it for travel, I need a temporary, sturdy, travel-friendly holder that doesn’t take up much space in my luggage.
My detailed criteria when choosing this holder are：
1. The holder provides a solid and sturdy dash mount on the dash surface, and suction power is strong to handle bumpy roads (while I am outdoors a lot during travel).
2. The holder must be easy to insert and remove the phone (the mount itself is also easy to remove and will not cause damage to the dashboard).
3. The holder is adjustable so that I can choose an angle not blocking my view.
4. The holder is easy to use and does not interfere with charging port and other buttons.
5. The holder is tight, not too bulky, and doesn’t take up too much space in my luggage.
This stand meets 5 of the 5 criteria perfectly. I would say this is the best car phone mount I have ever had.
In terms of the mounting, it is sturdy and meet even exceed my requirements. The suction cup itself is sticky and it has a lock system that you can further vacuum lock the cup. The suction cup sticks firmly on the dashboard of the rent car during my travels, even under the hot day in Hawaii, and the time I went to Sahara. It also comes with a vent clip, it is also a nice locking feature, looks sturdy although normally I use the suction cup. Overall, mounting system is a 5 out of 5.
Inserting and retrieving the phone is easy on this holder mount, there are two buttons there to release the arm of the holder. I also like the release buttons of it while it is long so that I can press the release button not blocked by my larger phone (s22 ultra). The mount itself is easy to install, there is a instruction guide there on the package, I followed the instructions guide on my first use. My most satisfied part is the remove of the mount, it does NOT damage the dashboard, you can just unlock the cup and take if off easily with having any damage on the dash. Another 5 of 5 for sure.
Both of the air vent mount and suction cup dash mount are rotatable, so I can choose the an angle for comfortable viewing the phone screen. The arm of the holder is also adjustable, I mounted it on the center of the dash, and I could adjust the angle of the arm and stretch it to the steering wheel direction not blocking my view. The adjustable design make things easy and convenient for me, I love the design definitely.
The bottom pat is also adjustable, so I could adjust the position of the bottom pat to avoid that the clips of holder block the volume buttons and the power button. And the opening there on the bottom part is enough for the charging cable, I was able to charge my phone while using the holder. It doesn’t interfere any features of my phone, definitely great.
The holder itself has a great gorgeous design with silicone pat, has also a great holding feelings on hand. I like the tight and not bulky design, not taking too much space and it is portable for travel. And the cable manager is a surprising tool! The cables are always messy lying on my car, but with the cable manager, I can put the cable on the manager and the cables are no longer messy. This is a plus!
Overall, I would say it is a great product that meet my criteria, and I would absolutely give it a 5 stars! It is a great travel partner for me!

If you’re like me, you’ve tried your fair share of car mounts over the years. Some of them are cheap and flimsy, while others can be overly expensive and come with unnecessary features.
