    This phone holder securely clings to my granite countertop. I stuck it down then tried to pull it off without releasing the suction. I would break the phone holder into pieces before ripping it from the countertop. Very impressive clinging power. The magnet is equally strong, easily holding the phone while I simulated bouncing around in a car.

    Placement in my car was not as easy. The suction cup wouldn’t cling to the textured dashboard, of course, but I was disappointed when it wouldn’t cling to a smoother area where I removed a rubber cover. The area was reasonably smooth, though not like granite. Finally, I installed the self adhesive pad in the semi-smooth area and got a granite-like hold.

    I now use my phone for navigation to get real-time traffic info that my car doesn’t deliver without a monthly subscription.

    This car mount does what it should at a reasonable price. It’s a keeper.

    The suction mount on this phone holder seems to hold pretty well- its good on the flat surfaces I’m using it on. Not sure how it will do in the heat of my car… its winter now. I’ll have to see. The magnet is good, and it rotates well. It also comes with a flat plate that you can stick to a surface that will help with suction- so that could help with any bumpy/faux leather texture in the car.

    This suction mount phone holder is OK, but not great.
    It has some strengths, but some downsides that may be a deal breaker for some.

    It’s nice that it can be folded up compactly for storage.

    The overall unit is a good height for desktop or dashboard use.
    It makes it easier to view my phone at my desk, without having to pick it up.

    The magnetic mount holds my iPhone very firmly, with our without the magsafe case.

    The arm is sturdy and nothing moves out of place unintentionally. It is still easy enough to adjust the height and angle, though.
    The arm has a swivel point at its midway point, which I find odd and not very useful for me.
    It would be much better if the entire arm rotated around the base, so that the angle could be changed without needing to remove the unit from the surface and reposition.

    The suction mount is shown in the product photos, gripping a textured dashboard and supporting a heavy weight.
    There’s no way this thing can possibly do that.

    The suction cup is far too weak and finicky for that. It can barely stay in place on my smooth plastic monitor stand.
    I ratchet down the suction cup in what seems a good smooth spot, put my phone on it and after a couple of minutes, to hours, the suction is lost.
    It seems only capable of securely holding on a glass-like or actual glass surface. Anything with any more texture than that, and it will lose suction.
    I ended up polishing my monitor stand, to make it smooth enough to hold suction.

    On the plus side, it’s easy to remove. Just loosen the tension ring and lift up the corner tab.

    My phone also kept dropping off the magnet.

    The suction does NOT work on textured surfaces… like dash board. I really did not want to use and adhesive disk on my dash board but that was the best location

    I absolutely love this mount! It’s super sturdy and stable. It works perfectly with my magsafe case, but also works well with the included magnetic ring that I placed on my other case. It’s quick and easy to use. I definitely recommend this!

    I use this mount at my work desk. I usually leave my phone flat on the desk or try to balance it against my water bottle, neither of which are convenient. This mount comes with a plastic disk that you can stick to the table, which creates a great surface for this to adhere to. I’ve had it on for 2+ weeks and it hasn’t budged.
    The magnet is strong enough to hold my phone in place while I text on it (quick responses) and scroll through messages.
