There are some things nobody tells you and one of them is how to change the rear wiper on a Toyota Prius. For years I have fought to find a replacement rubber blade for my 2005 Prius rear wiper. The dealer charges $50 to replace it and there was no way in hell I was paying that much to replace a piece of rubber. I am so glad that I found the replacement on Amazon, and figured out without breaking anything how to lift the arm and replace the wiper unit. It is simple and takes about 30 seconds and the instructions are in the package. With winter here it is important to have good wipers, even on the rear window and if you don’t change it and end up scratching the window because the metal is rubbing against the glass, scratching your back window is a really bad idea.

This wiper was an EXACT FIT and exact replica of the 2010 Prius OEM rear wiper. The instructions were printed on the inside of the display/trade dress paper and I missed them, and so struggled mightily with the installation. A trip to youtube and a second try yielded good results. As I separated the paper from the plastic for the recycle bins, I noticed the clear, excellent, and well-photographed instructions that would have made this job a snap.

These real wiper blades have been ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC for our Toyota Prius 2010! Highly recommend!! They fit 100% perfectly, they’re absolutely quiet as can be when they are being used, and best of all they only took about 20 seconds to install. We found some 90-second video on YouTube showing us how to install these wiper blades, and even that video was approximately 70 seconds too long! Whoever came up with this TRICO company and these TRICO Wiper Blades should be very proud, because they created a great product here. And totally affordable, too.

This does NOT fit the Prius V wagon or the small Prius C, it only fits the slantback Prius. Plenty of YouTube videos on installation, the secret is to remove the cover over the pivot at the bottom of the wiper arm, then you can pull the wiper arm up 90 degrees from the glass and rotate the old wiper blade off, and rotate the new blade on. When you put the pivot cover back on, the arm can’t lift more than 2 inches from the glass, so the blade can’t come off.

This specific wiper, a replacement for my 2019 Toyota Sienna, was difficult to find locally w/o all the different adapters that didn’t appear to fit anyways. They were also more expensive, even the same brand. This one fit perfectly and was an exact replacement for the factory installed one. It was also several dollars cheaper than the ones available locally, probably paying extra for all of the extra adapter pieces that didn’t seem to fit anyways. Very happy with it and the ease to put it on. We’ve had a lot of rain in the past week here and it’s performed very well. Will definitely be purchasing this again as my exact replacement.

It fits and solves the problem replacing prius rear blade. The connector on the rear blade is DIFFERENT from normal wipers so this fits the bill as a replacement. Kind of dumb that Toyota doesn’t make it a standard connection so you can use any wiper. This item came on time and is just as advertised.

Update: time to replace my old blade after 2.5 years, but I don’t use wipers a lot as it doesn’t rain much here so that might be longer than typical. Note: It takes a little force to remove the old blade. Find an instructional video like YouTube if you’re not confident about what you’re doing.

It does fit the rear wiper of 2010 Lexus RX 450h like Amazon says, but installation is tricky a bit.
My old rear wiper blade, which probably was original equipment, goes on and off easily but this won’t fit. I pushed and pushed and tweaked it. Didn’t want to break the plastic. Noticed the opening on this blade is smaller than the original blade was so it looks like it won’t work.
Finally, since Amazon says it’s a match, I went to the manufactures site and found their video. It’s not a great video and it’s not easy to find but it gave me a clue. The secret is to pull the arm up as far as it will go because the rear spoiler will block you from lifting the arm more than maybe 30 degrees. Ideally, you want to attach the wiper to the arm like a “T” but, since you can’t get to 90 degrees get as close to that as you can without breaking anything then push in, then after that you can lower the blade. Find their video if this isn’t clear.
Anyways it fits like a glove, but Trico should fix this design so it goes on / off easy.

This wiper was pretty easy to install. Just turn on the wiper and shut off the key with the wiper at the 6 o’clock position. Do clean your window ahead of time as you’ll potentially scratch it if the window is dry and there is dirt on it. The old one pops off and the new one gets pushed on. It does take some force to push the new one on. Take a look at as couple of YouTubes to get the visualization.
The new blade has stopped the chattering and also cleans well. I can’t comment on the longevity as this is my first purchase of this brand and it’s only been a couple of weeks. All is good so far.
