It’s was working great, until it wasn’t. The support team was very helpful in getting me a replacement and working with me. Turned out the little track claws had broken on both sides (where it attaches to the window), I advise that you lube the window track with silicon spray while you’re in there. Not 100% if it was friction or extreme cold that did it in. All the other mechanical parts were in good working order.

The cables that push and pull the window had frayed on my original window assembly. This replacement assembly does not come with the motor (mine was fine) – swapping the motor takes 3 x bolts and about 2 minutes. Follow one of the online Youtube tutorials – there is a lot of steps but you can complete it with handtools. Took me about 4 hours (working slowly and double checking everything). Works great, fits perfectly.

Paid $155. Installed in a 2008 Navigator. Window regulators are fussy by nature so take your time and watch a YouTube video if you are not familiar with this repair. Install wasn’t all that bad. The bad stuff- plastic is cheap so use caution when putting the handle assembly in. I broke one of the clips for the handle cable. I used a heat gun to soften the plastic where I had to pry the plastic or seat the cable clip and didn’t have anymore trouble. I used a small wood screw and washer to hold the cable in place where the clip broke. Looks rigged up but it’ll work. Also the hole for the handle pivot will need opened up. If you don’t the handle won’t seat and you might break the plastic or the handle will be seated too high to get the trim piece back on when you are done. Everything else was fine. I’ll report back if these don’t last. I may just try to repair the old ford parts if these fail. I you have the money I would buy the ford part. If not these will do, just be prepared for some “fine tuning”. I wouldn’t buy these again for a vehicle I planned to keep.

Worked as it should but was missing one of the rubber inserts for holding the window. I took one from the old regulator so it wasn’t a huge deal. Everything else fit perfect.

I bought this unit because my vehicle was inop and I needed the part fast. Normally I would buy the OEM, but couldn’t wait that long. Good news is the part was a direct replacement and is functional. Bad news is that some of the dimensions are poor and you will need to make some modifications to get it to work. I had to drill out the door handle bottom pin hole because it was way undersized. I also had to drill out the door handle cable mounting clip because it was also undersized. The front and rear guide bolts that fit in slots in the door were also misaligned, but they could be made to work. I doubt it will last 12 years like the OEM, but at the moment it’s working well.
