No instructions on the wiring. (Update) The thermostat turns on at 185 but will keep the fan running until the engine gets to room temperature. Had to buy a new one. (Update #2) Seller sent me a replacement unit free of charge with instructions.

See that orange wire nut in the picture? That’s NOT the right way to wire your fan! The previous owner of my race car took some quick and dirty shortcuts putting it together, and the fan wiring is definitely one of them. From the battery to an on/off switch in the car to the fan…that’s it. Electric fans draw a lot of current, so keeping the wires short reduces voltage drop and improves fan performance. Plus, it’s never a good idea to run high current circuits inside the car; with this kit, there is a low current wire to the switch inside the car, and the high current is routed through a relay under the hood. Plus, there’s a fuse for safety and a thermostat to control the the fan automatically instead of relying on a manual switch for the driver. Very nice and complete kit!

This is a hard to find bargain at any auto parts store or hardware store if you had to. The wire is pure copper and it does have a generic wire insulator I think would be okay for most engine builds I wouldn’t use it on anything super high heat. I haven’t had any issues with the relays however I’m kind of the kind of getting one grade relays as is for such a critical component. But I’m more than happy with this kit. I’d recommend this brand to anyone I have their fuel line working
