Perfect fit in my Toyota Rav4. Super simple to replace this cabin filter, just look up a quick video like I did on how to do it. You just have to pop open the glove box, and disconnect the arm, then you can gain access to where the old filter is at. This is one of those filters that gets forgotten about all the time and this one hadn’t been changed in a long time obviously. The air flow seems to be much better now as well, so that’s a nice bonus. I really like the filter quality, it seems to match the OEM that was in there before, and works great.

This cabin air filter is a perfect fit for my 2012 Highlander. It’s a bit thicker than the previous 3rd party non-carbon filter that was put in by a drive-in lube place for $70!!! It’s so easy to put in – just pull the back edges of the glove compartment inward to release it so it can drop down, then pull the filter cover off, remove the old filter, slide the new one in, replace the cover and swing the glove compartment back up. Takes two minutes at the most!

Easy do it yourself job that’ll save you $50+ over your local dealer. Empty your glove box, remove pull the piston off the glove box lower right side, squeeze the left and right rear edge and pull the box out. Push in the left and right tabs of the black air filter cover and pull. Remove the old filter, careful not to let any accumulated debris fall into the fan. Install the new filter making sure to put the correct side up. Unlike OEM filter, there is no indicator on the replacement filter, the left and right edges are different depending on the side, line up with how the old filter was. Follow disassembly instruction in reverse.

If you haven’t looked at your cabin filter lately, you probably should. Take a look at the pictures. My car is 8 years old and I’ve never checked the cabin filter. I’m sure glad I did! The old one is disgusting, filled with dirt, dust and small leaves. The new filter fit perfectly and I’m very pleased with the quality. Installation was a breeze, and took less than 5 minutes. Highly recommend this filter, which should be part of regular maintenance. Don’t wait 8 years! The manufacturer recommends that it be changed every 15,000 to 25,000 miles or once per year.
