It does it’s job. The base pieces that the phone rest on before clamping do not seem long enough for newer phones.

I bought two of these, hoping this was a great item. Boy, I couldn’t have been more wrong. This is marketed as a cell phone holder that can be installed using the adhesive, without tools, but with “optional” screws. The optional part depends on whether you want to keep this phone holder on your dash. I followed the instructions on the package (substituting my own alcohol for “the enclosed alcohol wipe”, which was not enclosed). I applied the item with firm pressure on my dash but after 2 days, it fell off my dash. I am so sorry I spent my money on this item, but I guess I should be grateful that my phone was not damaged. This item might be OK if you intend to use the screws, but most of us don’t want to do that. Sellers shouldn’t tell people that screws are optional when the only way it will work is to use them!

I used this for my HCT Touch Pro 2 and then for my HTC Thunderbolt (had to remove the bottom support for the Thunderbolt to fit). it’s great, it’s perfect, phone goes in and out easy, both past and current phone, and allows power cord to be connected.

It’s a nice phone cradle but doesn’t open wide enough for my Droid Moto Z Force2.

Secured with 3 screws in addition to adhesion, it feels very securely attached. Works okay: it could open a bit wider, but it’s wide enough for Samsung Galaxy A04 phone. When phone is not in it, I don’t like that it makes some rattle noises. I also don’t like how flimsy it feels when un-securing and securing the phone. Bought in November, still works well in March. Time will tell how long it will last. I would buy it again. One thing to note: it fit my car well, but the other car did not seem to have enough of flat surface to be able to attach it where I wanted it to be (I didn’t buy or install it for other car, just wanted to measure if it would fit).

If you have an older car you are willing to put a few holes in, this is the phone holder for you. Mine worked great until my car got stolen. Probably still works great although I’m sure it didn’t make it into the parts bin.

I didn’t want a visible mount for my mobile because of poor people looking for something to pawn, so this mount is perfect I have it down below the windows screwed in to the side. This mount is extremely adjustable and even fits my GPS (muffles the back speaker thou) the “feet” on the bottom do slide out and yes the rectangular part is detachable from the part that screws in (like the other arkon mounts) WARRING do not completely unscrew any of the adjustable parts they have springs and its a b**** to get it back together, also if you use the adhesive and screws (adhesive for cushioning) poke holes in it first before you put the screws in or it will get all mangled.
