Needed this to replace one on 06 G6. Fit perfectly and works well. Tip: If you just take off radiator mounts on frame and dremmel off some of the plastic on the rad lower support pin (to get a wrench on the lower line nut), you can replace this w/o having to take the rad out. Beware of pushing to hard on the nut to get it threaded when installing the new lines because the transmission cooler will “push into” the radiator and you’ll get a coolant bath. This happened to me and I had to fish the treads back through the holes in the radiator (not difficult). What helped me then was getting the nut started by itself a few turns, and then installing the line and “holding spring”, then tightening the nut. Hope this helps someone.

These transmission cooler lines arrived in perfect condition and they are exactly as described. Authentic ACDelco / GM oem transmission cooler lines and they were a perfect fit for my 2004 Chevrolet Malibu. I hope they last a long time. My original lines started leaking – I’m not sure when. My car is 12 years old so hopefully these new lines will last the rest of the useful life of my car. I’m hoping to keep my car for at least another 5 or 6 years so I expect these lines to last.

Did not fit my 3.5L 2006 G6 V6. Amazon says it fits, and it’s the right part number according to the dealer, but I took the old one out and they’re definitely different. Not sure what the deal is, but now it’s staying on jack stands overnight while I wait for a dealer to open.
Update: the dealer thought it was the right part, but that it had been bent for shipping in a long slim box. Make sure it’s right before you take the old one off, I guess. I’m attaching a photo of the part I received, which didn’t fit, and the part the dealer sold me, which did. The dealer part is the one in the back: you can see the longer line bends sharply upwards. The part I got from Amazon has an extra bend in it, continuing almost parallel to the shorter line.

Installed this in a 2005 Pontiac G6, fit perfectly. I think that the reviewer who had fitment problems must have received the wrong part, because mine looks exactly like the one he got from the dealer. If you receive the correct part, one line should have a 90 degree bend, and the bent part should be long enough to reach the top of the radiator. As the other reviewer mentioned, just make sure it matches the old one before you take it off.
One more note, you should also replace the fittings in the radiator at the time that you replace the cooler lines. Two reasons: 1) you are not supposed to re-use the retaining clips that hold this into the radiator, and new fittings come with new clips, basically for just the price of the clips, and 2) new fittings come with new o-rings, to help reduce the chance of leaking. I got the connectors from my local Napa, they’re hard to find on Amazon because Amazon’s compatibility list for them incorrectly omits the G6. Finally, it is much easier to get these off if you remove the plastic shroud under the car that forces airflow through the radiator.
I also recommend getting a 1/4″ drive torque wrench to torque the nut that holds the transmission gasket side on. A larger torque wrench will not go to a low enough torque setting. You can get a cheapie for $11 from Harbor Freight with coupon, or a somewhat better one from Amazon for ~$40 (I like the Tekton wrenches, such as this one: TEKTON 24320 1/4-Inch Drive Click Torque Wrench, 20-200-Inch/Pound).

Perfect fit for my malibu 2004, I strongly suggest you replace too the 2 fittings on the radiator, as you will probably break the little pin and you will have new seals etc , for un nice durable job!
Also a little pick tool kit was useful to remove the pins on the fittings. Have fun!

The listing says doesn’t fit 2005 malibu maxx ls. i can confirm it DOES fit. Just installed, fit perfectly nice and snug. It clicked right in to the radiator like its supposed to if you seperate the black clip of one of the hard lines its much easier to move into place, install then clip it back on when done. No more leak there.

Bought this to replace the original lines that had rusted through on a 2007 Pontiac G6 3.5L automatic (71k miles). The new lines fit without issue and their quality appeared to be very good. Also, I didn’t need to buy any additional parts to replace the lines. I noticed that when viewing the Dorman brand version of this part that people were also buying the new transmission connector nuts, retainer clips, etc. You don’t need to buy those things unless they are specifically causing your issue (e.g. fluid leak). I wrote up a DIY on how to replace these at the G6OwnersClub forums in the HOW-TO section if you’re looking for info on replacing these yourself.
