Nice new part – part marked on box was correct … part in box WRONG … so … took it apart and fixed the old one … cheaper and easier than sending it back. Pain in the butt someone should have checked. This box was open and had been resealed. In the end not totally bad… it was a good price … for a reason …

Passenger rear regulator went out on my 2003 GMC Envoy XL, the pulley wires were binding and tangled. This was a perfect fit. I’m not a car guy, but this was very easy to install with the help of a youtube video. A handful of tools and 30 minutes will save you hundreds bypassing a dealer or mechanic.

I was super pleased with this Dorman replacement window regulator. I had read some online blogs that these parts when bought and installed by a dealer run in the $500 range. I was so glad to have been able to do this myself for under $100. It was easy to install (I think the worse part was getting the door panel on and off!) and is working great. The window goes up and down quickly and smoothly. Honestly I’m no engineer however I think the cable/pulley system that GM manufactured is troublesome (both of the rear windows in my Trailblazer failed within a year of each other) however that is certainly no fault of Dorman’s. Note that this part is for an extended 7-passenger Trailblazer, not the shorter 5 passenger model.

I found this part on Amazon and the site said that it would fit my 2003 Trailblazer LTZ. I received the part and upon trying to install it, realized that none of the screw holes lined up. The exchange process was a breeze and I received the shipment in 2 business days, however, when I ordered the correct part (Dorman 741-893) I installed it and it failed upon first use. The window rolled about 3/4 of the way up and stopped. The regulator became really hot and no longer worked. I should have spent an extra $50 and bought a genuine AC Delco part from the Chevrolet dealership. A major inconvenience.

It will work in a 2003 GMC Envoy XL SLT but you will have to open the hole at the motor mount.
It does work well once installed. The pictures show the part installed.

I was very hesitant on buying this from Amazon. I have never bought a car part from Amazon because I am always concerned about it not fitting. I bought the part for a 2002 GMC Envoy XL and if fit almost perfect. I had to widen the right hole on my door by about 1/4″ to get it to fit. Besides that I had the old part taken out and the new part installed in 30 minutes. At the time I bought it the part was $30 cheaper with shipping than Autozone.
